Williston Recreation and Parks

Community Garden Plots Available

There are four garden plots available this season at the Williston Community Gardens located in Brennan Park off Mountain View Drive. Garden plots are reserved for residents only. Plots come in three sizes; 15×10, 15×20 and 15×30. There is a fee for each plot that covers the length of the season. Registration will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis. To register for a plot, fill out and return the Garden Plot Registration form, available at the Recreation and Parks Office or online at www.willistonrec.org, but do not send in payment. You will be contacted if a plot is available when you register.

Adult Golf Clinics

Williston Recreation & Parks and Catamount Golf Center are teaming up to offer group golf clinics. Proper grip, stance and swings will be covered. Join one or more as you progress through the skills and become a confident golfer. Instructor: Bill Boldwin, Golf Director. Ages 18 and up. $140 per session. Beginners: Tuesdays, May 17 to June 14, 6-7:15pm. Advanced Beginners & Intermediates: Wednesdays, May 18- June 15, 6-7:15 p.m.

Youth Programs

Track and Field

Participants will learn the basics of running, jumping, throwing and relays. There will be meets with other nearby recreation departments and a state meet. It’s a great program for those who love to run, jump and throw. Ages 7-15. Mondays and Wednesdays, June 15 to July 23, 6:15 to 7:45 p.m. $50

Youth Fishing Clinic

This three-hour program includes information such as fish identification, parts of the rod and hook, lures and bait and how to stay safe while fishing. Everything the kids learn will be put to use, as they get the opportunity to fish. Instructors: The Fly Rod Shop Staff. Grades 1-8. Saturday, June 25, 9 to 12 p.m. $40

Summer Camp Highlights

Soccer Camp

Experience the excitement of the world’s most popular sport at this highly appraised camp – First Play Soccer. Children will thrive on the exciting, fun atmosphere generated by the international and qualified coaches. Instructors: U.S. Sports Institute Staff. Coed, Ages 6-12, Monday-Friday, July 11-15, 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m. $135

Basketball Camp

The U.S. Sports Institute First Play Basketball Camp provides a wide variety of inclusive games and activities that will educate campers in a fun and fast-paced environment. Open to all ability levels. Instructors: U.S. Sports Institute Staff. Coed, ages 6-12. Monday to Friday, July 11-15; 1-4:30 p.m. $135

Flag Football Camp

The U.S. Sports Institute First Play Flag Football Camp is open to all ability levels. The camp will focus on individual techniques and, more importantly, fun. The week finishes with the USSI Flag Football Super Bowl. Instructors: U.S. Sports Institute Staff. Coed, Ages 6-12, Monday to Friday, July 18-22; 8:30 a.m-12:00 p.m. $135

Multi-Sports Camp

The U.S. Sports Institute’s flagship Total Play Multi-Sports camp is the original multi-sports camp where your child has the opportunity to play over 15 different sports from around the world in one fun packed week. Instructors: U.S. Sports Institute Staff. Coed, Ages 6-12, Monday to Friday, July 18-22; 1-4:30 p.m. $135

Disc Golf Camp

The camp is for the new or beginner player. Campers will receive a starter kit of discs to keep. The camp will consist of the rules, the different discs, basic throwing and disc flight. Then it is all hands-on, as they play at different courses. Director: Scot Foxx. Coed, Ages 11-15. Monday to Friday, July 25-29; 8:30 a.m – 4:30 p.m. $250
