The Champlain Valley Union High boys basketball team will face South Burlington High at home Thursday before playing host to Burlington High next Tuesday. On Monday, the team defeated St. Johnsbury 50-41 to bump the team’s record to 12-5.

Last Thursday, Walker Storey led the Redhawks to a 61-50 victory over Essex High.

“Junior Walker Storey scored 19 of his career-high 25 points in the first half to help lift CVU to the win,” Coach Michael Osborne said. “The first half outburst included five 3-point field goals. Senior Jed Morris scored all 14 of his points in the second half while junior Reece Pawlaczyk scored 11 points.”

The JV team has an 11-5 record after a Monday win against St. Johnsbury, 54-49.

Next week holds the last two regular season games before playoffs begin.
