Recreation and Parks

Happy New Year!

The Recreation and Parks Department wishes your family good health, happiness, and fun in the coming year and always. A special thank you goes out to the many volunteers that have helped with recreation programs, events and in the parks this past year. We want to thank the 54 volunteer coaches that were part of our youth sports programs, the five members of the Recreation Committee, the many instructors and businesses who work with us to offer programs and to the school district staff who provide us with safe spaces to offer programming. Also, thank you to all those who helped during the July 4th celebration; The Detch Family, Tony and Susan Lamb, the camp staff and the judges — Bob Metz, Joy Limoge and Brendan Karnes. Also, thank you to two people who volunteer their time in our parks — Scott Bushweller, who maintains the ice rink, and Briant Hamrell, who helps with soccer fields. Thank you to all of these and others who have given of their time and talents to make community recreation something for everyone.
