PHOTOS: WCS candidate forum

In what has become a biennial tradition, Williston Central School invited candidates running in the Nov. 2 election to participate in a forum at the school on Oct. 1. Students asked questions of the 10 politicians who participated. The candidates attending the forum including Democratic gubernatorial candidate Peter Shumlin and Republican Chittenden County Senate candidate Charlie Smith, who spoke on behalf of Republican gubernatorial candidate Brian Dubie; incumbent Democratic Attorney General William Sorrell and Progressive challenger Charlotte Dennett; Democratic incumbent Peter Welch of the U.S. House of Representatives and Republican challenger Paul Beaudry; lieutenant governor candidates Steve Howard, a Democrat, and Phil Scott, a Republican; U.S. Senatorial candidate Len Britton, a Republican, and Chuck Ross, who works for Democratic incumbent Patrick Leahy.
