Charles Ivan Zea, 82, of Williston, passed away Feb. 17, 2015, in the University of Vermont Medical Center with his loving family at his side. Charlie was born April 17, 1932, in Gloversville, N.Y., the son of Ivan M. and Hazel (Frank) Zea. Charlie started his employment in 1950 with General Electric in Schenectady, N.Y., graduating from the GE Mechanist Apprentice Program in 1958 and retiring from GE Burlington in February 1993. Charlie was predeceased by his wife, Arlene; and son-in-law, Jean Guy Beaudry Sr. He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Beaudry; son, Charles B. and daughter-in-law, Dorine; grandchildren, Brian and his wife, Jennie, Erin and Christopher; great-grandchildren, Emmalyn and Kayleigh; and his special “pupper,” Alvin. Dad will be forever loved and missed. He put many smiles on our faces with his wit and humor. In fulfilling Charlie’s wishes, there will be no viewing or funeral services. He will be cremated and his ashes buried with family in Gloversville, N.Y. Arrangements are with the LaVigne Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Winooski.
