Northern Flyer will perform bluegrass music as part of the Williston Brick Church Concert Series on Nov. 10.

The Williston Brick Church Concert Series continues its 10th season Friday, Nov. 10 with an evening of bluegrass featuring Northern Flyer.

Northern Flyer is made up of four veteran Vermont musicians — Andy Sacher (mandolin), Mark Struhsacker (guitar), Andy Greene (banjo) and Kirk Lord (bass) — who decided to combine their singing and instrumental expertise. They previously played in the Bluegrass Gospel Project, the Modern Grass Quintet, Breakaway and the WDEV Radio Rangers.

Northern Flyer performs original songs, unique adaptations of existing material and traditional bluegrass songs.

Opening will be guitarist John Davis.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. at the Old Brick Church in historic Williston Village; the show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $13 in advance, $15 at the door ($11/$13 for seniors and children under 12).

The evening’s beneficiary is the Joint Urban Ministry Project (JUMP). The featured visual artist is Tim Brooks, who will exhibit his carved alphabets in danger of extinction and sacred texts of indigenous cultures.

The Brick Church Concert Series continues through April on the second Friday of each month. For more information and to purchase tickets in advance, visit
