For the second time in less than a year, Belle’s Café in Maple Tree Place is under new ownership. Heidi Brousseau acquired the deli in January from Ed Dickles.
“I just know that it is a good business and they make great food there,” Brousseau said.
Mark Peck will be the general manager and work hands-on in the café. Peck worked for 20 years in the restaurant industry before managing Belle’s, Brousseau said.
Dickles bought Belle’s Café last year, changing sandwich offerings and bringing Boar’s Head Meats into the deli. Dickles has returned to Florida to care for his ailing mother, Brousseau said.
Brousseau and Peck will keep the existing menu at Belle’s before making decisions on what to add or change. She said the pair has lots of ideas, such as adding creemees in the summer and offering weekly dinner specials and hot food selections. Brousseau said Belle’s Café may also begin a catering service.
“Right now, we’re just going to get a handle on things and go from there,” Brousseau said.
With new ownership comes new store hours. Belle’s Café is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
