The 2-2 Champlain Valley Union High football team returns to the gridiron blocking and tackling on Saturday, when North Country Union comes in for a non-league encounter at 1 p.m.
The Redhawks have been off since being nudged 20-14 on the road at Poultney High Sept. 20.
North Country’s Falcons (yes, this will be a feather bender) bring a 2-3 record to the fray, having lost to 4-1 Lyndon last week and also to Mount Mansfield Union and Spaulding, all Division II squads.
