In addition to the 12 major party candidates, four independents have entered the race to represent Chittenden County in the Vermont Senate.
The Observer sent each of the candidates a brief questionnaire.
Independents Richard “Terry” Jeroloman of Burlington, Steve Laible of South Burlington and Mikey Van Gulden of Burlington did not return their questionnaires prior to deadline.

What is the most important issue facing Chittenden County? If elected, how will you address that issue? Unemployment and lack of job availability. I would lower corporate taxes to bring more jobs to Vermont with the understanding that they couldn’t just leave after so long. I also have other ideas of how to create jobs and lower taxes or better ways to allocate our resources.
