The 7-0 boys team goes to Mount Mansfield Union High Thursday and then to Stowe Saturday morning to face the unbeaten Raiders. On Monday and Wednesday afternoons the team will be home at Davis Park in Shelburne to South Burlington High and Essex High, meeting both teams for the second time.

CVU’s 7-0 girls team has a similar schedule, only starting with home matches and then going on the road next week.

Both teams got past Rice Memorial Monday, the boys with a 6-2 win in South Burlington. Mark Vecchio, Tabor deGroot and Will Hurd took individual matches. The combinations of Will Hurd-Jameson Voll and Corey Dawson-Bennett Hadley captured doubles matches.

David Hildebrand got nipped for the first time this season by Rice’s Nathan Hauke — 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) in an individual contest.

The girls rolled to a 6-1 triumph at home against Rice. Cassie Smith, Kylie deGroot, Abby Stoner and Colleen McCarthy won individual matches. Molly Ziegler and Megan Hanson teamed for one doubles victory. Kristen Donaldson and Christina Parker won by forfeit.

Last Friday, both teams scored wins over Colchester High.
