Senior Katie Longshore, who led the Redhawks in scoring with 12 goals and five assists, and junior defender-midfielder Kelsey Jensen, adept at launching long distance deliveries of the ball to ignite offensive thrusts, earned first team positions.
Goalie Elizabeth Goddette, a junior, was accorded All-State honorable mention after serving up 10 shutouts for the 12-2-3 Redhawks. Goddette did not allow a goal in three tournament wins.
Longshore and Jensen were also named to the All-Metro first team by the coaches. Second team slots went to juniors Kathryn Powell, a midfielder, and forward Emmaleigh Loyer. Junior KK Logan, who was lost to a knee injury at mid-season, gained honorable mention.
The Redhawks’ pilot, Kate McDonald, was named Coach of the Year by her peers in the Metro Division.
