Town not sending water line flyer
A flyer sent to some Williston homeowners about their water line responsibilities is not affiliated with the town, said Assistant Public Works Director Lisa Sheltra. It is an advertising flyer from the company HomeServe.

Gun club appeals decision
The North Country Sportsman’s Club in August appealed a June Development Review Board decision stating that the club must remove fill on its property that violated conditions of its permit. The fill was brought in as part of a remediation and stewardship plan worked out with the state Department of Environmental Conservation to improve soil and water quality.
A status conference was held with Environmental Division Judge Thomas Durkin on Sept. 29, and a mediation session must be held by Jan. 19, 2015.
Town Manager Rick McGuire said he expects the appeal to go to court, since settlement seems unlikely between the town, the club and neighbors.
