The Brick Church Music Series has released the lineup for its 11th anniversary season, which begins on Oct. 12 and continues on the second Friday of each month through April 2019. All concerts start at 7 p.m. at the historic Brick Church on Route 2 in Williston Village.

Opening the series will be an evening with Nashville recording artist Jamie Lee Thurston on Oct. 12; November will feature the Christine Malcolm Band (folk/country); December’s concert features Cantiamo (Bella Voce’s a cappella choir); January offers an evening of classical duets featuring Jeremiah and Annemieke McLane & Friends; Jazz is on the roster for February with the Paul Asbell Quartet; March highlights Celtic music with Rowan; and the season wraps up in April with songwriter/guitarist Patti Larkin.

Tickets are $13 per concert in advance or $15 at the door ($11/$13 for children under 12 and seniors). October/April concerts all seats are $15. Season tickets are also available for $78 ($66 for seniors) and are good for all concerts during the season. Tickets may be purchased online (https://www.town.williston.vt.us/brickchurchmusic or in-person at the Williston Town Office in the village.

The Brick Church Music Series was started in 2008 by a group of Williston citizens interested in providing high quality performances that were presented as fundraisers for nonprofits or local charities, and that the series would not be formally affiliated with any one group. To date, over $40,000 has been donated to local charitable organizations from the proceeds of 71 concerts.

A unique aspect of the series is providing a showcase for area visual artists. Curated by Nancy Stone, the basement of the church is turned into a gallery where concert-goers can see original work and meet the artists before the concert and during intermission.

The current producing committee includes original members Peter Engisch, Rick McGuire and David Yandell, who are joined by Keith Gaylord, Bob Pasco and David Cranmer.

Piper Realty of Williston is this season’s presenting sponsor. In addition, the series continues with support from the Williston Observer, the Town of Williston and AdAstra Recording.
