Saturday marked the sixth annual Williston Runs for Education 5K and Kids Fun Run at Williston Community Park. The run was created in 2012 by Williston Families as Partners (FAP) — a group of parents, teachers and community members ‘who share a single goal of making every child’s potential a reality,’ according to the event’s website (willistonruns.org).

The run helps raise money to support Williston schools.

The Vermont Lake Monsters mascot, Champ, made an appearance Saturday and helped local kids prepare for the fun run, which took place behind Williston Central School.
