CVOEO Health Connect is looking for volunteers to support its outreach team. Tasks include assisting with research, developing and attending local events, distributing educational and promotional materials, developing and implementing outreach plans, etc. Marketing, organizing, event planning and public outreach skills are needed. Ethan Allen Homestead Museum is seeking volunteer tour guides with a passion for history and a desire to work with a variety of people. The museum needs volunteer greeters also, to welcome visitors and sell tickets for tours. For both guides and greeters, a three-hour/week commitment is preferred and training is provided. Volunteers to help with general repairs and upkeep of buildings, displays and grounds are also needed on a flexible schedule. KidSafe Collaborative of Chittenden County is planning its annual community yard sale in early August and is looking for volunteers to help during June and July. Tasks include preparing signs, pricing, volunteer recruitment and scheduling, arranging for pick-ups and deliveries, and/or helping at the sale. Flexible scheduling for planners. Winooski Community Services Department is planning a Volunteer Appreciation Lunch for Winooski seniors who donate hundreds of hours a month in volunteer service. Vermont CARES is gearing up for its annual fundraising bike ride for HIV/AIDS prevention and needs volunteers to pick up and prepare donated food, staff support stops along the route or to set up a picnic lunch at Oakledge Park in Burlington. Lucy’s House for the Prevention of Homeless Pets is planning a “Pet Expo” and dog walk on June 14, from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Lucy’s is looking for volunteers to help with children’s activities, registration, food court and checking in vendors at the Champlain Valley Expo. The DREAM Program needs counselors for the summer camp season in Fletcher. The camp is very rustic with lean-to cabins, a tree house, a pond and miles of trails for hiking and mountain biking. Organizers are looking for counselors to staff one or more of the five camp sessions between June 16 and July 24. Counselors are involved in all phases of camp life including programming, supervision, camp maintenance, meal preparation, etc. Pre-camp training provided.
