Recently graduated high school stars from Vermont and New Hampshire were on the ice last Saturday for the annual Make-A-Wish All-Star Classic contests at the University of Vermont’s Gutterson Field House with the Granite State boys and girls teams the winners.
On Friday night at Castleton State College, New Hampshire scored a 6-1 victory in the Twin State Field Hockey all-star clash.
Evangeline Dunphy from Champlain Valley Union High shared goal-tending duties for the Vermont squad.
In Saturday’s ice hockey games, the New Hampshire boys won 6-4 to hike their overall series advantage to 14-7-1. Vermont’s girls forced overtime before losing a 4-3 decision. The Green Mountain State still leads the series, 8-6-3.
CVU’s Molly Dunphy was a forward for the Vermont girls while Patrick Pattison skated at a forward slot for the guys.
