Eastman, Maitland place in Nordic

Champlain Valley Union High Nordic skiers Autumn Eastman and Charlie Maitland were prominent in New England Nordic Ski Association competition last week at Mountain Top Inn near Rutland.

Eastman captured a seventh place in the 7.5-kilometer classic, which was the best showing by a Vermonter. She was also third in the girls 5K race and led a Vermont splurge of five skiers in the top 10. Maitland took ninth place in the boys 5K freestyle race.

  1. Louis M. Izzo says:

I take frequent walks in my neighborhood and surrounding sidewalks/roads on Industrial Avenue and Rt 2-A and occasionally see what appears to be a dog-poop bag, nicely tied, but simply left there in the road or on the sidewalk. I would like to remind dog-walkers that this is not appropriate. Please carry it off.
