School district seeking delayed, disabled students

The Champlain Valley School District is looking for preschool age children (3 to 5 years) who live in the towns of Charlotte, Hinesburg, Shelburne, St. George and Williston, who show a developmental delay in the areas of speech/language, social adjustment, adaptive behavior, self-care, gross/fine motor coordination and cognitive development.

School districts are required to seek out students with disabilities as part of the Child Find provision of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.

St. George/Williston – Allen Brook School: 878-2762

The district is also seeking children/adolescents ages 3-21 with disabilities living in the towns of Charlotte, Hinesburg, Shelburne, St. George and Williston, who are not currently attending school, are attending a private school by parent choice or are being home-schooled.
