Show us your lights

The Williston Police Department would like Williston residents and businesses to participate in its first holiday lights celebration by decorating their properties. On Wednesday, Dec. 21, members of the department will judge the holiday displays and pick their favorite. Please leave your holiday lights on if you would like to be included. The winners will be announced on Thursday, Dec. 29, and receive a token of the department’s appreciation.

Theft

  • Ryan Demange, 30, of Essex Junction was cited on a charge of retail theft on Nov. 25 after stealing more than $130 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart, according to police reports. He was cited to appear in court.
  • Rhonda Lowry, 28, of South Burlington was cited on a charge of retail theft on Dec. 1 after stealing more than $40 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart, according to police reports. She was cited to appear in court.

 

Driving with suspended license

  • Michael J. Trombley, 51, of Essex was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license on Nov. 25, according to police reports. He was cited to appear in court.
  • Thomas D. Loudon, 29, of South Burlington was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license on Nov. 25, according to police reports. He was cited to appear in court.
  • Jennifer A. Stephens, 28, of Huntington was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license-criminal on Dec. 1, according to police reports. She was cited to appear in court.
  • Farah A. Stevens, 27, of Shelburne was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license on Dec. 5, according to police reports. She was cited to appear in court.

 

Drug possession

Richard E. Haldane, 22, of Barre was cited on charges of cocaine possession (less than 2.5 grams) and heroin possession (more than 2 grams) on Nov. 26, according to police reports. He was taken to Chittenden County Correctional Center, and cited to appear in court. No other information was released.

 

Driving under the influence

Travis R. Lavallee, 35, of Cambridge was cited on a charge of driving under the influence on Dec. 7, according to police reports. His blood alcohol concentration was. 129, the report notes. The legal limit for driving in Vermont is .08. He was cited to appear in court.

 

Domestic assault

  • Benjamin Robert Lagrow, 27, of Williston was cited on a charge of domestic assault on Nov. 28 after allegedly being verbally and physically abusive to his mother, according to a police affidavit. Bail was set at $750 and he was taken to Chittenden County Correctional Center, according to the affidavit.
  • Steven Laclair, 48, of Williston was cited on a charge of domestic assault on Dec. 5 after allegedly physically abusing his wife, according to a police affidavit. Bail was set at $5,000 and he was taken to Chittenden County Correctional Center, according to the affidavit.
