Break-in

The job trailer for Sweeney & Delisle, parked behind Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel, was “broken into” on May 4, according to police reports. No information as to damages or possible items stolen was available at press time.

Unlawful mischief

A man was cited on a charge of unlawful mischief on May 4 after twice “keying” a derogatory term onto the hood of a woman’s car on May 2, according to police reports. No other information was released.

Assault

A male juvenile at the Jean Garvin School was taken into custody and later released after being cited on three counts of simple assault on May 3, according to police reports. He was cited to appear in court on June 3. No other information was released.

Driving under the influence

• Following a motor vehicle stop on May 3, Jeffrey A. Rotax, 38, of Hinesburg was cited on a charge of driving under the influence, according to police reports. His blood alcohol test registered .125, according to the report. The legal limit for driving in Vermont is .08. He was cited to appear in court.

• Following a motor vehicle stop on May 8, Rachel A. Mantone, 19, of Burlington was cited on a charge of driving under the influence, according to police reports. Her blood alcohol test registered .126, according to the report. She was also issued a ticket for underage possession of alcohol, the report notes. She was cited to appear in court on May 27.

Theft

• A Williston resident reported to police on May 5 that his daughter’s iPod Touch was taken from the girls’ locker room at Williston Central School sometime between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m., according to police reports. The item had a pink cover and was in her backpack, the report notes. Anyone with information is asked to call Williston Police at 878-6611.

• A purse was stolen from a car parked at Maple Tree Place Apartments on May 9, according to police reports. The case is under investigation.

• A bicycle was stolen from a barn on Mountain View Road on May 9, according to police reports. The bike was valued at $500, the report notes. Anyone with information is asked to call Williston Police at 878-6611.

Restraining order violation

Scott M. Whalen, 23, of Winooski was cited on a charge of violating a temporary restraining order on May 8, according to police reports. He was cited to appear in court.

Violation of conditions of release

Jonathan Vachereau, 25, of Colchester was cited on a charge of violating conditions of release after being stopped for allegedly driving with a suspended license on May 9, according to police reports. His record includes two “criminal counts” of driving under the influence and “numerous other violations,” the report notes. He was cited to appear in court.

Vandalism

An Old Stage Road resident reported to police on May 7 that someone may have cut the screen on the back of her house, according to police reports. The investigation is ongoing.

Driving with suspended license

• Deric Ducharme, 27, of Bristol was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license on May 5 following a motor vehicle stop, according to police reports. He was cited to appear in court.

• Patrick F. Kennedy, 41, of South Burlington was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license-criminal on May 9 following a motor vehicle stop, according to police reports. He was cited to appear in court.

Burglary

Williston Police are investigating the burglary of a Williston residence on April 2.

Items stolen included two Panasonic 32-inch flat screen televisions, jewelry and a large amount of collectable coins. Anyone with information is asked to call Williston Police at 878-6611 or Crime Stoppers at 864-6666.
