Billie L. Preston, 41, of South Burlington was cited on a charge of embezzlement on June 23, according to police reports. On May 13, Endyne, Inc. on James Brown Drive in Williston contacted police to report that the company’s bookkeeper had been stealing money through the company’s payroll system as well as the electronic payment system, according to the report.Investigation confirmed that “$55,000 was unlawfully taken by Preston,” the report notes. The investigation is continuing and police expect the dollar amount to rise, according to the report. Preston was cited to appear in court on July 31.
Driving under the influence
Sarina Morey, 25, of Essex Junction was cited on a charge of driving under the influence on June 9, according to police reports. Her blood alcohol concentration was .157, the report notes. The legal limit for driving in Vermont is 08. She was cited to appear in court.
Sean MK Parker, 33, of Hinesburg was cited on a charge of violating conditions of release on June 9, according to police reports. He was cited to appear in court.
A tractor trailer was stopped on Mountain View Road on June 10 when police suspected the vehicle was over the permitted registered weight of 24,000 pounds. An inspector was called in and found that the vehicle weighed 45,100 pounds. No other information was released.
A vehicle was reported stolen from Thomas Hirchak auction house on June 10, according to police reports. Police are investigating.
A South Brownell Road residence was reported burglarized on June 10, after a family member discovered that several items were stolen from the home, according to police reports. Police are investigating.
An Apple Iphone5 was stolen from the passenger seat of a vehicle parked at Walmart on June 13, according to police reports. Police are investigating.
A digital camera was reported stolen from a Williston retail store on June 14 after store employees found the camera’s empty box “wedged behind the toilet tank in the men’s room,” according to police reports. The investigation is ongoing as police are reviewing store video and photos.
Danny A. Barton, 51, of Colchester was arrested on an outstanding warrant on June 11, according to police reports. No other information was released.
A Metcalf Drive resident called police on June 9 to report that someone had “entered her backyard, removed her solar lights from the ground and placed them in a circle on the grass,” according to police reports.
Driving with suspended license
Betsy L. Relyea, 37, of Colchester was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license on June 13, according to police reports. No other information was released.
