Police collect 83 pounds of drugs

Williston Police collected 83 pounds of unwanted medications during Drug Take Back Day on Oct. 26, according to Sgt. Justin Huizenga, who called the event a “big success.”

 

Crash results in DLS charge

Vermont State Police came upon a one-vehicle collision on Vt. Route 2A in Williston on Nov. 1, and spoke with the driver, Jacqueline C. Snyder, 53, of Hinesburg, according to police reports.  Snyder told police: a tree had fallen in the roadway and while emergency crews were removing the tree, traffic had stopped; when she approached the scene, she didn’t realize the car in front of her had stopped, and when she did, it was too late; she attempted to avoid hitting the vehicle by veering off the western side of the roadway, but the vehicle continued traveling south within the roadside drainage ditch where it finally came to rest along the driver’s side of the vehicle. Snyder was found to driving with a suspended license-criminal and was taken to the Williston Barracks for “further processing,” according to the report. She was cited to appear in court on Nov. 21.

 

Multiple charges

Wayne Burnett, 60, of Williston was cited on charges of driving under the influence and obstruction of justice on Nov. 3, according to police reports. He was taken to “detox,” the report notes. No other information was released.

 

Driving under the influence

William D. Burke, Jr., 34, of South Burlington was lodged at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility on Oct. 5 after being cited on charges of driving with a suspended license and suspicion of driving under the influence-fourth offense, according to police reports. He was held for lack of $3,000 bail, the report notes. No other information was released.

Katelyn Denton, 22, of Bakersfield was cited on a charge of driving under the influence on Oct. 20, according to police reports. Her blood alcohol concentration was .106, according to the report. She was cited to appear in court.

Tranayce N. Taylor, 20, of New Haven, Conn. was cited on a charge of driving under the influence on Nov. 2, according to police reports. His blood alcohol concentration was .209, the report notes. He was taken to Chittenden County Correctional Facility for “detox.” No other information as released.

 

Theft

Chelsey Morrill, 21, of Burlington was cited on a charge of petit larceny on Oct. 9, according to police reports. No other information was released.

Warrant

Matthew Coppola, 23, of Winooski was arrested on an outstanding warrant on Oct. 12, according to police reports. He was lodged at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility. No other information was released.

Dayna Fleury, 25, of Waterbury was arrested on an outstanding warrant on Oct. 19, according to police reports. Fleury was lodged at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility for lack of $800 bail, the report notes. No other information was released.

 

Driving with suspended license

Dale McGuire, 52, of South Burlington was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license on Oct. 18, according to police reports. McGuire was cited to appear in court.

William H. Mudgett, Sr., 43, of Burlington was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license on Oct. 29, according to police reports. He was cited to appear in court on Dec. 3.

Timothy W. Roberts, 34, of Orleans was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license on Nov. 1, according to police reports. He was cited to appear in court on Dec. 3.
