Burglary

  • Police are investigating two daytime residential burglaries that occurred on Hillside Drive and Kirby Lane on Aug. 21 and 23 in Williston. Items stolen included cash, jewelry and electronics, including two Norwich class rings and one VMI class ring. The Kirby Lane home was “ransacked,” according to police reports. Police ask residents to lock their doors and windows, and to report any suspicious vehicles and people. Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to call Williston Police at 878-6611.
  • On Aug. 21, police received a report from Three Tomatoes restaurant that someone had entered the restaurant on Friday, Aug. 16 and taken $500 from its safe, according to police reports. The case is under investigation.

Theft

  • A miter saw valued at $200 was stolen from a vehicle parked at Access Mobility on Shunpike Road on June 19, according to police reports. Police are investigating.
  • A reader for a power meter was reported stolen from a home on Sundown Drive on Aug. 21, according to police reports. Police are investigating.
  • On Aug. 28, police received a report of a stolen phone and wallet at the Majestic 10 movie theater, according to police reports. The case is under investigation.

Marijuana possession

Joshua A. Dumont, 32, of Winooski was cited on a charge of marijuana possession on June 19, according to police reports. He was cited to appear in court.

Multiple charges

Ashley Treat, 30, of Essex Junction was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant and cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license on Aug. 21, according to police reports. No other information was released.

Driving under the influence

  • Nancy Wesseler, 67, of Williston was cited on a charge of driving under the influence following an accident on Aug. 23, according to police reports. Her blood alcohol concentration was .136, the report notes. The legal limit for driving in Vermont is .08. She was cited to appear in court.
  • Hayley A. Merlini, 21, of Marlboro, Mass. was cited on a charge of driving under the influence on Aug. 24, according to police reports. Her blood alcohol concentration was .160, the report notes. She was taken to Chittenden County Correctional Center on an outstanding warrant, according to the report. No other information was released.
  • Alexander R. Goulette, 22, of Ripton was cited on a charge of driving under the influence on Aug. 27, according to police reports. His blood alcohol concentration was .103, the report notes. He was cited to appear in court.
  • Eric M. Jophlin, 34, of Essex Junction was cited on a charge of driving under the influence on Sept. 1, according to police reports. His blood alcohol concentration was .086, the report notes. He was lodged at Chittenden County Correctional Center on $2,500 bail after “being uncooperative,” according to the report. No other information was released.

Driving with suspended license

  • Steven Blair, 46, of Winooski was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license-third offense on June 20, according to police reports. He was cited to appear in court.
  • Shawn W. Bair, 22, of Burlington was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license on June 22, according to police reports. He was cited to appear in court.
  • Gregory D. Alling, 42, of Essex was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license on June 22, according to police reports. He was cited to appear in court.
  • John Van Dyk, 42, of Williston was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license on June 23, according to police reports. He was cited to appear in court.
  • Kevin J. Millette, 20, of Essex Junction was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license on Aug. 21, according to police reports. He was cited to appear in court.
  • Martin L. Landon, 41, of Vergennes was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license-criminal on Aug. 23, according to police reports. He was cited to appear in court.
  • Jared M. Brooks, 31, of Randolph was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license on Aug. 29, according to police reports. He was cited to appear in court.
  • Parvez A. Pothiawala, 29, of Essex was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license on Aug. 30, according to police reports. He was cited to appear in court.
  • Travis C. Manning, 33, of Bristol was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license-criminal on Sept. 2, according to police reports. He was cited to appear in court.
  • Sean T. Provost, 38, of Essex Jct. was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license on Sept. 3, according to police reports. He was cited to appear in court.
