Driving under the influence

• Following a motor vehicle accident on Dec. 10, William Lacross, 47, of Milton was cited on charges of driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident, according to police reports. Lacross’ blood alcohol test was .288, according to the report. The legal limit for driving in Vermont is .08. He was cited to appear in court.

• Following a motor vehicle stop for a complaint of an erratic driver on Dec. 10, Chad M. Corpieri, 32, of Essex Junction and Adam C. Badger, 24, of Essex Junction were cited on charges of driving under the influence, according to police reports. Corpieri was allegedly driving the vehicle at the time of the stop, and Badger allegedly told police he was driving the vehicle just prior to the stop. Corpieri’s blood alcohol test was .325, and Badger’s was .246, according to the report. Both were cited to appear in court.

• Following a motor vehicle stop on Dec. 13, Bryan S. Deslauriers, 31, of St. Albans was cited on a charge of driving under the influence, according to police reports. Deslauriers’ blood alcohol test was .138, according to the report. He was cited to appear in court.

Wanted person

Joshua C. Burleson, 38, of Highgate Center was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant on Dec. 11, according to police reports. He was lodged at Chittenden County Correctional Center, the report notes. No other information was released.

Theft

Following a foot pursuit on Dec. 11, Todd C. Gorton, 40, of Starksboro and Ernest W. Hoffman, 39, of Essex were cited on charges of retail theft from Wal-Mart, according to police reports. Both were issued no trespass citations and cited to appear in court. One of the men, whom police would not identify, was taken to Fletcher Allen Health Care for an injured knee after he fell down an embankment while trying to run from police, the report notes.

Disorderly conduct

Derron Elliott, 41, of Williston was cited on a charge of disorderly conduct on Dec. 10 after making “harassing remarks” to a woman at a business in Maple Tree Place, according to police reports. He was cited to appear in court on Feb. 1.

Driving with license suspended

• Following a motor vehicle stop on Dec. 3, Wanda I. Ortiz, 52, of Essex Junction was cited to appear in court on a charge of driving with a suspended license, according to police reports. No other information was released.

• Following a motor vehicle stop on Dec. 7, Darcey L. Lamphere, 26, of Winooski was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license, according to police reports. Lamphere was cited to appear in court on Jan. 4. No other information was released.

• Following a motor vehicle stop on Dec. 9, Lianne Burleson, 36, of Essex Junction was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license, according to police reports. Burleson was cited to appear in court on Jan. 4. No other information was released.

• Following a motor vehicle stop on Dec. 10, Michelle Bessette, 34, of Williston was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license, according to police reports. Burleson was cited to appear in court. No other information was released.

Compressor lost and found

A Williston church reported to police on Dec. 3 that it had found an air compressor behind a storage unit that did not belong to the church and which had been there for about a week, according to police reports. Police investigation revealed that the compressor belonged to Engelberth Construction and was returned.
