Last week’s baseball and softball games between CVU and South Burlington High featured a Strike Out Cancer fundraiser for charities established by the two teams and their parents. The first pitch of the game was thrown out by June Poodiack, who is battling cancer, after receiving a hug from her son, CVU player Dan Poodiack. A raffle was held and and Strike Out Cancer black and pink tee shirts were sold. In addition, Oasis on Wheels, the lunch wagon at CVU games, pledged 20 percent from baseball season profits to the charity.

    Mr Sean Bird says …

“Climate change is real—even Congress now agrees that climate change is “not a hoax.” ”

I laughed out loud when i read that. Who thinks that members of Congress don’t have a political stake in perpetuating a hoax? There is nothing that generates more votes (or money) than a good ole fashion scare tactic!

Thanks Sean .. it is funny :-)
