The 7th Annual Jericho Plein Air Festival will be held this weekend with six Williston artists among the 65 artists from all over New England taking part.

The artists will be painting outdoors at a number of different sites in Jericho on Saturday. The public is welcome to observe and speak with the painters from about 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. A map is available at the Emile A. Gruppe Gallery at 22 Barber Farm Road that indicates where artists will be set up.

A reception, scheduled from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the gallery, will open a three-week exhibit of the artists’ work.

Organizers Barbara Greene of Williston, Jane Morgan of Milton and Emile Alexander of Jericho encourage people to wander around the painting sites Saturday and meet the artists at the Sunday reception.

All the artists participating are pre-registered for the event.

almost 3 decades ago when williston started it’s development review process the public works section was pushing for a wider roadway typical for residential streets. The town adopted 30 ft widths vs 24ft. That’s 6/24 (30%) additional impervious area and runoff that needs to treated before flowing into ALLEN BROOK. The town and selectboard have indicated a lack of interest to reach out and help communties like mine that have had expired stormwater permits for more then a decade. Its always been a wait and see, well I see where this headed now.
