Summer job opening: bookmobile assistant

Help deliver materials and programs throughout Williston and St. George. For insurance reasons, must be at least 16 years old and have a valid driver’s license with no restrictions. June 12 – Aug. 31: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

New attraction passes available

American Precision Museum holds the largest collection of historically significant machine tools in the nation. In Windsor, Vt., open daily 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Memorial Day weekend – Oct. 31. No reservation, free family admission and 10 percent off in museum’s gift shop.

Local Motion Island Line Bike Ferry: The ferry across the 200-foot gap in the Colchester-South Hero causeway. 2017 schedule: May 26-June 11 — 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Fridays, weekends and holidays; June 16-Sept. 4 — seven days a week; Sept. 8-Oct. 9 — Fridays, weekends and holidays. Reservations required, two adult passes (or one adult and one child), loaned only as a pair. Other fares can be purchased by cash only at the ferry.

‘Build a Better World’ Summer Reading Program

Try hands-on building challenges and find new ways to make your world a better place. Programs for kids, teens and adults. Kids and teens register for the Summer Reading Challenge and enter to win free books and raffle tickets. Starts June 16.

Vermont Lake Monsters Library Fundraiser
