‘Java for Jan’ coffee for a cause

Observe staff report
Coffee lovers have a chance to win a bevy of coffee-related prizes while raising money for a local recently diagnosed with a brain tumor.
“Java for Jan” is raising money to help Jan Snyder, a longtime employee of Williston’s Natural Provisions, deal with the cost of post-operation treatment and other expenses. Residents can buy raffle tickets at the Natural Provisions store in Williston for a chance to win prizes donated by a variety of local coffee distributors and roasters.
“It’s a nice way hopefully to raise few bucks for him and give him some encouragement,” said Tony O’Rourke of Iron Mule Distributing, who organized the fundraiser.
Tickets will be on sale through July 4, and the prizes will be announced then.

  1. Louis M. Izzo says:

I take frequent walks in my neighborhood and surrounding sidewalks/roads on Industrial Avenue and Rt 2-A and occasionally see what appears to be a dog-poop bag, nicely tied, but simply left there in the road or on the sidewalk. I would like to remind dog-walkers that this is not appropriate. Please carry it off.

Thank you for meeting your legal responsibilities.
