Theft

• Michelle L. Crooks, 24, of Hardwick was cited on a charge of retail theft from Wal-Mart on June 1 after allegedly stealing $28 worth of merchandise, according to police reports. Crooks was cited to appear in court.

• Police received a report on June 3 regarding the theft of approximately $1,300 worth of tools from an unlocked garage at a home in Williston. No other information was released. The investigation is ongoing.

• On June 2, a man in sweatpants and a gray sweatshirt “put something in his pocket” and fled from Dick’s Sporting Goods, according to police reports. The man “left at a high rate of speed” in a black Geo Tracker with decals on the side, the report notes.

On June 3, two DeWALT tools were stolen from Home Depot, and police say the thief escaped in a vehicle fitting the same description as the one used in the Dick’s theft. Anyone with information is asked to call Williston Police at 878-6611.

Marijuana possession

Justin Jenny, 18, of Hinesburg was cited on a charge of marijuana possession on June 6 after allegedly throwing a plastic bag out the window of his vehicle during a traffic stop for a broken tail light, according to police reports. The bag allegedly contained 8 grams of marijuana, the report notes. Jenny was cited to appear in court.

Trespassing

Roger H. Olson, 56, of Williston was issued a no trespassing order from Allen Brook School on June 5, according to police reports. School personnel reported that Olson was “sitting in the grass watching students,” and police say it made the school personnel uncomfortable, so the school asked for the no trespass order.

Vandalism

On June 4, police received a report of vandalism to a door lock at Quintin Brothers Auto on South Brownell Road, according to police reports. Damage was estimated at more than $150, the report notes. The investigation is ongoing.

Disorderly conduct

Carrie A. Askren, 55, of Starksboro was issued a no trespassing order from PetSmart on June 6 after “being disorderly,” according to police reports.

Suspicious person

Police received reports on June 5 from Pleasant Acres residents complaining of noise, and subsequent investigation found that a resident had just purchased a four-wheeler and was riding it, according to police reports. The resident agreed not to ride the bike any more that night, the report notes.

Driving under the influence

• Following a motor vehicle stop on June 3, Jeffrey I. Wyatt, 29, of Bristol was cited on a charge of driving under the influence, according to police reports. The results of a blood alcohol test were not available as of press time.

• Following a motor vehicle stop on April 18, Kimberley Corbett, 54, of Shelburne was cited on a charge of driving under the influence, according to police reports. Her blood alcohol test registered .264, the report notes. She was cited to appear in court.

Violation of conditions of release

Aaron Demers, 24, of Williston was arrested on charges of violations of conditions of release on June 2, according to police reports. Demers’ conditions included an order not to consume alcohol and not to abuse or harass his parents in any way, the report notes. He was lodged at Chittenden County Correctional Center on $500 bail, according to the report.
