Waste facilities closed on Fourth

Due to Independence Day, the Chittenden Solid Waste District’s facilities, including drop-off center locations, will not open on Saturday, July 4.

Saturdays tend to be one of the busiest days for the drop-off centers, according to CSWD. The waste district’s administrative offices will be closed on July 3, although all other facilities — including drop-off centers, the Environmental Depot and Intervale Compost Products — will be open during regularly scheduled operating hours.

American Cancer Society relocates

The Vermont office of the American Cancer Society, which makes its home in Williston, is moving. But it’s not going far.

Currently located at 121 Connor Way, the office will open at 55 Day Lane in Williston on July 6. The move will help reduce operating expenses, according to information from the American Cancer Society.

To prepare for the move, the office on Connor Way will be closed until July 3. Programs offered by the American Cancer Society, including the Hope Lodge, Road to Recovery and the Patient Navigator program at Fletcher Allen Health Care, will continue uninterrupted during the move.

For more information about the move or American Cancer Society services, call 872-6300.
