In addition, coach Kate McDonald was named Metro Coach of the Year by her colleagues.

The Metro coaches also named Redhawks senior midfielder Kelsey Jensen the division’s player of the year. Jensen was also chosen to the first team of Metro all-stars and to The Burlington Free Press All-State first team.

Jensen tallied five goals and eight assists for the 16-1 Redhawks while maintaining a dominating presence on both ends of the field.

Also selected for the All-Metro and All-State first teams were forward KK Logan and midfielder Kathryn Powell, both seniors.

Logan led the team with 14 goals and won three road games with scores in the extra periods.

Powell was a steady veteran in helping keep the pressure on the opposition’s last line of defense.

Emmaleigh Loyer, a senior who led the team in assists, also made the first team All-Metro and second team All-State.

Second team All-Metro honors went to junior forward Louise Gibbs and senior goaltender Elizabeth Goddette.

Deep defender Aubrey Deavitt, a junior, and senior midfielder Maggie Ryan received All-Metro honorable mentions while Deavitt also picked up an All-State honorable mention.

Jensen, Logan, Loyer and Powell were also named to the Vermont Twin State team, which will meet its New Hampshire senior counterparts in the summer.
