Former CVU star leads Colgate field hockey team

Kelsey Jensen, former all-state field hockey athlete at Champlain Valley Union High, is a co-captain for Colgate University’s team in this, her senior year.

Jensen scored a goal Saturday as her Raiders nipped the University of Vermont in a scrimmage at Burlington.

In 2012, Jensen was voted Colgate’s most outstanding midfielder, scoring five goals and totaling 11 points in 17 games. She was named to the Patriot League’s All-Tournament Team plus the league’s All-Academic squad.

She carries a double major in chemistry and environmental studies.

    I take frequent walks in my neighborhood and surrounding sidewalks/roads on Industrial Avenue and Rt 2-A and occasionally see what appears to be a dog-poop bag, nicely tied, but simply left there in the road or on the sidewalk. I would like to remind dog-walkers that this is not appropriate. Please carry it off.
