Former CVU goalie named UVM soccer captain (8/6/09)

Aug. 6, 2009

Eliza Bradley, who starred in goal for the Champlain Valley Union High soccer team, has been named one of three captains for the 2009 University of Vermont women’s soccer team.

Also voted captains by team members were defender Rachel Andres of Honeoye, N.Y. and forward Carson Laderoute of Rutland.

Bradley, a senior, has been a standout between the pipes for the Catamounts since her freshman season. Last year, she was 16th in the nation with 120 saves. She goes into the season third on the all-time UVM saves list.

The Catamounts open the new campaign Aug. 28 and 29 in the TD Bank Classic at Centennial Field.
