With Colchester High and Rice Memorial High next up in their schedules, the Champlain Valley Union High boys and girls tennis teams continued their early season rumble through Metro opponents with team triumphs Thursday over South Burlington and Monday against Mount Mansfield Union.

This Thursday, the 5-0 girls will host Colchester at Shelburne’s Davis Park while the boys travel to the courts of the 2-3 Lakers.

On Monday, the boys will be on the home courts against 5-1 Rice, while the girls go on the road to meet the 4-2 Green knights.

Last Monday, the girls rolled up their third 7-0 win at Mount Mansfield, sweeping the five singles and two doubles matches.

Individual scores were not available.

The boys racked up a 6-1 victory in Shelburne. Four singles victories came from David Hildebrand, Marc Vecchio, Tabor deGroot and Corey Dawson. CVU’s doubles combines Jameson Volt-Will Hurd and Tim Averill-Brad Barth were also victors.
