Both boys and girls lacrosse schedules have been changed due to weather conditions both home and away as the teams enter the final week of the regular season.
With soaking fields Friday in Hinesburg, the 11-1 defending Division 1 champion boys had their important home game with Middlebury Union postponed until Saturday at 11 a.m.
he lax guys hiked their record to 12-1 Tuesday by thumping 5-6 Colchester High 13-6 over in Lakerland. Elliott Mitchell fired three goals while Griffin DiParlo, Nevin DiParlo, Steele DuBrul and Ryan Keelan hit for double scores.
Coach Dave Trevithick’s Redhawks were scheduled to be at Mount Mansfield Union Thursday.
The girls got in half of their contest in Middlebury last Friday when rain forced suspension. They will return to Middlebury to complete the encounter Thursday afternoon.
Their final regularly scheduled home game was Wednesday against Essex High.
The Redhawks then travel to South Burlington High Friday.
Last Wednesday, the girls bowed 18-5 at 9-1 Mount Mansfield despite a three-goal outburst from Lily Schmoker. The Hawks took a 1-9 record into Wednesday’s game.
