Anna Philibert, a lifelong resident of Williston and a 2012 graduate of CVU, has joined the Peace Corps and will serve in Panama for the next two years.

A 2016 graduate of Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Philibert left Miami in late February for a three-month training before being assigned to the Panamanian community in which she will serve.

She will be teaching English and life skills to schoolchildren.

In college, Philibert majored in public policy and minored in economics and political science. The daughter of Dawn Philibert of Williston and George H. Philibert of South Burlington, she is also the twin sister of Bryn Philibert, a 2012 CVU graduate who is currently pursuing graduate studies at the University of California San Diego’s School of Global Policy and Strategy. Both Anna and Bryn acknowledge the value of growing up in the Williston community.
