Burlington Emergency & Veterinary Specialists (BEVS) broke ground last week on its new location on Marshall Avenue. The animal hospital will triple in size from its current 5,000-square-foot location on Commerce Street  to a customized 17,000-square-foot facility.

BEVS is Vermont’s only 24/7 emergency and specialty animal hospital. Owner Bryan Harnett said the new facility will include 13 exam rooms, an intensive care unit, three high-tech surgery suites, CT/MRI units and employ about 60 staffers. The facility is scheduled to open in February.
