The Williston Armadillos season ended a week sooner than they had hoped, with a loss in the Vermont Senior Baseball League semifinals to the Montpelier Monties. The Armadillos defeated the Monties during the regular season, but it was not the Armadillos’ day, losing 6-2 on Sunday, Sept. 18 at Williston Central School.

Despite the loss, the Armadillos still had a very successful season. They completed the regular season 13-3, earning the number one seed for the playoffs for the third straight year.

On offense, the Armadillos were led by Todd Johnson, Todd Tarte, Brent Tremblay and Glenn Bombardier. Defensively, the Armadillos were anchored once again by ace Ken Freeman. For the fourth straight season, Freeman led the league in innings pitched, averaging more than 150 innings a season during that stretch.

In reading this recipe, I noticed that one ingredient is missing from the list of ingredients but is noted in the directions. The missing item is oat bran–how much should be included?? Or is this the same as “oat flour”?
