The Champlain Valley Union High girls basketball team continued their years-long winning streak, and are heading to the Division 1 state championship.

The Redhawks are looking for their 95th straight win and fourth straight state title Tuesday night. CVU will play 10th-seeded BFA-St. Albans Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the University of Vermont’s Patrick gymnasium.

Top-seeded CVU defeated number four seed Burlington High 43-27 Tuesday night in front of a crowd at the University of Vermont’s Patrick gymnasium.

The Redhawks jumped to an early lead, bringing the score to 24-3 by halftime.

Laurel Jaunich led CVU scorers with 10 points. Annabella Pugliese and Abby Thut both put up eight points, and Sadie Otley contributed six.

BFA-St. Albans is looking to pull off another upset, after it easily dispatched 14th-seeded Brattleboro Tuesday night.

On Friday, CVU knocked off Mount Anthony 67-36 in a quarterfinal matchup.
