Dunki-Jacobs joins Collegiate Scholars

Williston resident Abigail A. Dunki-Jacobs joined the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Membership is by invitation only, based on grade point average and class standing.

Local UVM students awarded

Two Williston residents received awards at Honors Day ceremonies held by the University of Vermont in late April. David C. Manago received the Outstanding Graduating Senior in Environmental Studies Award. Laura Macuga received the Senior Award for Excellence in Accounting. Macuga was also inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma National Honor Society earlier this spring. Sophia Ava Trigg was among 24 students inducted into the national history honor society, the Alpha Alpha Psi chapter of Phi Alpha Theta.

Bertolet honored

Williston resident Anne Bertolet received The Leslie R. Anders Memorial Prize during Muhlenberg College’s honors convocation ceremony. The prize is awarded to the senior chemistry or biochemistry major with the highest academic average in chemistry or biochemistry after seven semesters. She also received The Dr. Robert E. Shoemaker Graduate Fellowship, awarded to a high academic ranking senior who plans to undertake graduate education.
