The Redhawks boys volleyball team finished the regular season at 10-1 after defeating Essex last Friday, solidifying its first-place position heading into the playoffs.  It was the first time Champlain Valley beat Essex in its gym and won both regular season games against them.

Meanwhile girls volleyball players closed out their season Oct. 19, defeating Randolph 3-0, to end it with a 12-1 record. The team was led by a strong service game which included seven service aces, coach Gino Johnson reported.

The girls quarter-finals game takes place Friday, Oct. 28 at 4:30 p.m. at CVU; the boys semi-finals game is Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 4:30 p.m.
