Driving under the influence

Ganzalo Gonzalez, 23, of Groton, Conn. was cited on a charge of driving under the influence on Nov. 17, according to police reports. His blood alcohol concentration (via “relationship back results”) was .084, according to the report. The legal limit for driving in Vermont is .08. He was cited to appear in court.

 

Vandalism

A Williston resident reported to police on Nov. 19 that her son’s vehicle had been vandalized “sometime within the last couple of days” while parked in her driveway. The investigation is ongoing.

 

Theft

  • Paul J. Lavallee, 35, of Milton was cited on a charge of retail theft on Nov. 19 after allegedly taking more than $100 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart, according to police reports. He was cited to appear in court.
  • On Nov. 21, an iPod valued at $150 was reported stolen from a vehicle parked at Dick’s Sporting Goods, according to police reports. The investigation is ongoing.
  • A purse was reportedly stolen from a vehicle parked at Wal-Mart on Nov. 23 after someone “smashed” the passenger side window, according to police reports. The investigation is ongoing.
  • Morway Moving and Storage on Krupp Drive reported to police on Nov. 24 that 400 gallons of diesel fuel was stolen from two of its trucks, according to police reports. The investigation is ongoing.

 

Suspicious circumstances

The Department of Fish and Wildlife is conducting an investigation after police received a report of three hunters in the woods off Nob Hill on Nov. 20, according to police reports. A dead button buck (6-month-old deer) was found in the woods, the report notes.

 

Violation of abuse prevention order

William S. Yandow, 46, of Essex was cited on a charge of violating an abuse prevention order on Nov. 21, according to police reports. He was cited to appear in court.

 

Violation of conditions of release

Shawn L. West, Jr., 21, of Williston was cited on a charge of violating conditions of release on Nov. 23, according to police reports. He was taken to Chittenden County Correctional Center. No other information as released.

 

Protesters

Police were called to Wal-Mart on Nov. 23 regarding “about a dozen protesters” that were in the Wal-Mart parking lot and not complying with requests from Wal-Mart management, according to police reports. Police were able to get the protestors to move to a nearby area, the report notes.

 

Careless and negligent driving

Matthew L. Davis, 19, of Williston was cited on a charge of careless and negligent driving on Nov. 25, according to police reports. He was cited to appear in court.

 

Outstanding warrant

James M. Morgan, 30, of Ferrisburgh was arrested on an outstanding warrant on Nov. 25, according to police reports. He was taken to Chittenden County Correctional Center. No other information was released.

 

Crash with injuries resulting

On Nov. 29 at approximately 4:30 p.m., Vermont State Police from the Williston barracks responded to a single vehicle crash on Interstate 89 in Williston. Subsequent investigation revealed that William Scott, 70, of Burlington was traveling northbound when he lost control of his vehicle and subsequently left the roadway and collided with a tree, according to police reports. Troopers found Scott trapped in his vehicle with multiple injuries. Williston Fire and Rescue responded to extricate Scott and transport him to Fletcher Allen Health Care, where he was treated for a broken nose, wrist and ribs, the report notes. At the time of the collision, it was snowing and the roads were wet, but weather and road conditions do not appear to be factors in the crash, according to the report. The crash remains under investigation. The Vermont State Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call 878-7111.

 

Driving with suspended license

  • Michelle L. Phillips, 24, of Milton was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license on Nov. 21, according to police reports. She was cited to appear in court.
  • Danny A. Duprey, 29, of Georgia was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license-criminal on Nov. 24, according to police reports. He was cited to appear in court.
  • Jacob J. Savio, 33, of Essex was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license, as well as numerous motor vehicle violations, on Nov. 24, according to police reports. He was cited to appear in court.
