The biggest full moon of the year, called the ‘supermoon,’ rises over Sunset Hill in Williston on May 5. The full moon peaked on Saturday as it reached the closest point to Earth of its elliptical orbit, making it appear 14 percent larger than it appears when it is at the furthest point in its orbit, according to estimates by NASA officials.
